World Bank Predicts Indonesia’s Economic Growth at 5.6 Pct

aaaaaaaWorld Bank’s chief economist  William Wallace predicted that Indonesia’s economic growth in 2010 will reach 5.6 percent.

“Indonesia’s economy has been predicted to constantly improving and in 2010 its growth will reach 5.6 percent, on the condition that the economic is growing steadily and investment in machinery and equipment as supporting factors is also improving,” he said when explaining Indonesia’s fourth quarter economic performance in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He also said that the main push to the economic growth in 2010 will come from domestic demands with the support of restoration in the external sector.

William also predicted that consumption by households will grow by 5.1 percent with  moderate price hikes and increased income. Investment is also predicted to increase following projected increase in commodity prices and external demands, as well as easier access to fundings.
