Total E&P Indonesie Proposes Five New Gas Stations

totalTotal Oil Indonesia presented its plan on Thursday to the house of Representatives to build five gas stations next year worth up to US$9 million.President Director of the French-based oil company Elisabeth Proust told the Energy Commission that it will seek partnership in private companies to operate the stations without releasing stake in the stations. Two of the gas stations will be built outside the Greater area of Jakarta (Jabodetabek).

The measure is part of the first development plan of the company with the second phase involves construction of 200 gas stations all over the country with total investments estimated at US$200 million. Proust said the second stage “will be depended on the result of the first stage” and the procedure to obtain subsidized fuel distribution license from the government.

The company has built three gas stations in Jakarta this year and is completing two other gas stations in the capital.
