Santos starts producing gas from Oyong field in Indonesia

Australia-based oil and gas company Santos Limited (ASX:STO) started turning out gas last week from its gas field on the island of Madura, East Java. Santos chief executive officer David Knox described the production of gas from the Oyong field as a milestone for Santos’ gas business in Indonesia.

The gas field is expected to produce up to 60 million standard cubic feet of gas per day. It is 45 per cent owned by Santos, 40 per cent by Singapore Petroluem Company (SGX:S99) and 15 per cent by Cue Energy (ASX:CUE).
