Indonesian Government Condemns Armed Attack In France

The government of Indonesia condemns the armed attack against the office and staff of the Charlie Hebdo magazine in France, which has reportedly killed 12 people.

The government of Indonesia offers its deepest condolences to the government and the people of France, particularly the families of the victims. The government of Indonesia underlines that violence of any kind is unacceptable. The government of Indonesia supports the efforts of the government of France to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Based on the coordination with the Embassy of Indonesia in Paris, there is no Indonesian national among the victims. However, the government of Indonesia encourages all Indonesians in France to avoid crowds, and contact the closest Indonesian missions (the Indonesian Embassy in Paris and the Indonesian Consulate General in Marseilles) for any assistance.
