Diplomatic and Service

Diplomatic and Service Visa will be given to foreign nationals bearing a Diplomatic or a Service Passport for the conduct of diplomatic or government assignments in Indonesia.
Diplomatic Visa

Diplomatic Visa is given to foreign nationals bearing a diplomatic or Laissez Passer (UN) passport, for the purpose of conducting diplomatic assignments, or attending meetings.

Requests for a Diplomatic Visa must be submitted to Indonesian Embassy in Oslo, by fulfilling the requirements. It takes at least 2 (two) working days to process diplomatic visa. For a certain assignment, a visa will be issued after obtaining the necessary approval.

Diplomatic visa is valid if presented within 3 (three) months after the date of issuance.

Requirements

  1. Original Diplomatic Passport valid for minimum of 6 (six) months
  2. Diplomatic note from Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Diplomatic Missions or from the United Nations, confirming the person’s diplomatic assignment, explaining the position of the applicant and duration of stay in Indonesia.
  3. Complete and sign visa application forms (download here)
  4. 1 (one) passport size photograph in color.

Notes

  1. Based on Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations 1961, diplomatic visa can only be given to holder diplomatic passports, free of charge (gratis).
  2. For those who want to apply diplomatic visa with ordinary passport / national passport, they will not be granted diplomatic visa. The Embassy considers to give them visa based on their purposes (business visa or social – cultural visa), and they have to pay (it is not free of charge).

Service Visa

Service Visa is given to foreign nationals bearing an official / service passport, on assignment for non-diplomatic purposes. Requests for a Service Visa must be submitted through Indonesian Embassy in Oslo, by fulfilling the requirements. It takes at least 2 (two) working days to process a single entry visa. For a certain assignment, visa will be issued after obtaining the necessary approval.

Requirements

  1. Original Service Passport valid for minimum of 6 (six) months
  2. Officials letter : from Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Diplomatic Missions / from the United Nations; or Institutions of the Governmnet/Department concerned , confirming the person’s service assignment, explaining the position of the applicant and duration of stay in Indonesia. It is advisable to deliver invitation letter from Government Institutions / organizations from Indonesia.
  3. Completed visa application forms
  4. 2 (two) passport size photographs in color.

Notes
